Gordon Brown named Worst-Dressed Man of 2009

It is surely not the poll that UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown wanted to finish top of in 2010, but nonetheless he has been crowned this year's worst-dressed man by GQ Magazine.

Even Russell Brand came in second place, behind Mr Brown...

So if that wasn't already bad enough, the magazine even branded him as anything but a good example of British style.

Nicolas Sarkozy - clearly not all he wears is bad! (Photo: Timesonline.co.uk)As for Mr Sarkozy (left), GQ said the French President, often photographed out jogging or being reported to try out all sorts of new fitness routines, should "concentrate on his style rather than focusing so much on his stature."

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson came in fourth, the Top Gear presenters (job lot) in fifth, Piers Morgan in sixth, the team at the Match Of The Day in seventh, frontman of indie rock band Razorlight Johnny Borrell in ninth and strip club owner Peter Stringfellow in tenth.

The man who was crowned the worst dressed man of 2009, TV host Jonathan Ross, appears to have worked on his style (guess a long, enforced sabbatical from his radio and TV show commitments allowed him time to rethink) because he’s been ignored by the list this year.

Alongside the worst-dressed, GQ also rated the best dressed with performers Alex Turner, Dizzee Rascal and Sir Elton John, actors Daniel Craig and Jude Law, HRH the Prince of Wales as well as footballer David Beckham all being noted for their sense of style by the magazine.

But that list too even provided a kick in the proverbial groin for Gordon Brown as his political rival, the leader of the Conservative Party, David Cameron, made it to the eight place in list of the best dressed men...
